Headteacher's Message
I am proud to be the Headteacher of Newlands Primary School. It has been exciting times over the last few years as the school has been transforming with a fresh and inspiring curriculum that aims to support the development of all children who attend. The school motto, 'Persevere, Believe, Achieve' embodies the drive and aspirations that we all have in the belief that this school is the place to be as we develop the 'can do' attitude, self-confidence and success in whatever we try to do. This was recognised in our Ofsted Inspection held in September 2019 when the school was graded as "Good". (Inspection Report can be found HERE.)
At the heart of our school are the children and our belief in their individual abilities. We strive to work with parents as we believe that the development our our young people requires committed support from all of the adults in their lives.
As a headteacher, I am committed to ensuring that the children develop a real love of learning. The staff team are dedicated and fully understand their role in ensuring children achieve their full potential. We are very proud of our children as they develop a positive attitude to learning and a responsible approach to all aspects of life, due to the high expectations we are setting at Newlands Primary School.
